Cleveland, Ohio
September 8 , 2004 - Divinity Boutique was founded in 2004 after 18 months of research and new product development.
The initial product line features men's handmade, silk ties, men's leather wallets and key chains, men's and ladies belts, ladies purses, checkbook holders and clutches, and Men's Dress socks.
All of the proucts in the line have a mild Christian theme.
The company has a "silver rivet" with a cross accent that can be found as the most common enhancement to the product line.
"It is a very upscale look" says sales manager, Keith Schwartz. We introduced 18 different men's tie designs in 5 colors per design.
That is over 90 different variations.
According to the company's sales manager, "we have more variations than any of the established companies in the industry and customers are taking notice."
Family Christian stores, the largest chain in the industry, bought the line on the spot.
Starting in October, you will find Divinity Boutique products on large displays in every Family Christian Book Store as well as over 2,000 other independently owned and operated Christian Bookstores located in the USA and Canada. The company is taking the industry by storm and really knocking around some companies that had been established for many years.
According to the companys sales manager, within a couple of months we established broad distribution in the USA and Canada and set-up distributors in Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Asia, and the UK.
The companies focus is to create high quality Christian Gifts that bring "Quality to Life".
Most of our products come packaged in a gift tin or in a gift box. When asked about the product line and why the reaction was so strong, the sales manager replied "quality, value and fashion are the drivers that have fueled our sales."
When we looked at the wallet category, we found that wallets retailed for $20 and leather key chains retailed for $7.
We decided to combine these two items into a gift set at a $20 retail. We also noticed that the competitors had no elements of design or fashion in thier product lines.
You had two choices "black or brown".
We added a two tone wallet and some unique features that make the wallets a better consumer value and more user friendly. The last element to creating a winning product line was to create displays that can hold the entire assortment.
The displays allow stores to feature the entire product line in one display. With over $1,000,000 in sales for 2004 and forecasted sales over $5,000,000 for 2005, this new company is making a financial impact while spreading the word to people all over the world.
Divinity Boutique is representative of the America Dream and proof that one good idea can become a multi million dollar company overnight. For additional information, samples, or to schedule an interview, contact: Keith SchwartzDivinity Boutique18807 Miles RoadWarrensville Heights, Ohio 44128216-581-9933 or fax: 216-581-9934e-mail protected from spam botsDivinity Boutique is a registered trademark of On Target Promotions.
Guilt-free exotic salmon leather products mean every part of the salmon is utilized, similar to the ancient tradition of the Northwest Coast Native peoples
November 19, 2003, Seattle, WA - Salmon leather?
Yes, it's true. For more than a hundred years, the skin of the salmon has been discarded, cast off , dumped and otherwise treated badly by the salmon canning industry in an effort to extract only the choicest morsels from nature's delicacy, Oncorhynchus keta, more commonly known as Chum Salmon.
Ivory Jack's Trading Company has worked over the last several years perfecting fine quality salmon leather that stands up to current rigorous fashion standards.
The leather is fascinatingly strong and has the look and feel of snake skin.
But, due to the formerly discarded nature of the material, it is guilt-free exotic leather more widely available to mass consumption.
The Pacific Northwest Coast Indians used the salmon, skin and all, for hundreds of years as they inhabited the salmon rich coastal lands of Alaska, British Columbia (Canada) and Washington State.
They traditionally tanned the hides...
Tote Couture
Handbags, purses, totes, clutches, shoulder bags ? I don't care what you call them, I love them all. I am a handbag addict. I have them in a countless array of styles and colors. Trends come and go, but "tote couture" remains. True handbag fashion is timeless.
It is not about seasonal fads, but about creating a personal style and reflecting your good taste.
A good purse will last not only for this season, but also for years to come.
This means investing in quality bags, taking care of your purses and totes, and shopping for styles that work best for you. Here are a few simple rules:The Person-To-Bag RatioDo not carry a bag that overwhelms your body size. Petite women should not be lugging around oversized bags that slap their thighs because they hang too low from the shoulder. Not only does it look bad, but can be harmful to your lower back if your bag is too big and too heavy for your frame.
Conversely, tall women look silly with a wrist purse.

Lucite Purses - Brief History and Buying Guide
Lucite purses got their start in the early 1950's, when post war technology came up with the idea for a higher class of plastic called "lucite". This material was ideal for use in boxy style handbags and could be manufactured in opaque or translucent color. Decorations were easy to add and included confetti, shells, flowers, or just about anything else you could stick on a handbag! These purses became all the rage of bigger cities such as Miami and New York City. It was love at first site between handbag companies and lucite purses because they could be made into unusual shapes easily. The most expensive lucite purses were made by Wilardy of New York and were showcased in major department stores throughout the country.
Of course with popularity came replication and many cheaper versions were made. Do you think you have found a genuine vintage high quality lucite purse? The best of the designers were Rialto, Llewllyn, Gilli Originals, Patricia of Miami, Evans, and Myles and Maxim....

When Is A Cigar Box Not Just A Cigar Box?
(ContentDesk) June 16, 2004 -- It's not often that something plain and, by all cultural definitions, masculine is transformed into a beautiful fashion accessory. But that is the concept behind a new business started in Granada Hills, CA. Lisa Cody, founder and principle designer of The Cigar Box Diva is forging her way into the fashion accessory business. As one might guess by the name, these are no ordinary handbags; they are "cigar box purses", a fashion trend that has caught on in many parts of the country. The idea is simple. Take an empty cigar box and decorate it with fabric, ribbons, beads and photographs. Add decorative hardware like bamboo handles, brass latches and coordinating fabric lining and you've got yourself a handbag. Simple right? Not quite.
"There's a difference between crafting and designing" Cody stresses. "I put much more thought into my purses than many others on the market. Quality craftsmanship is the key. I love creating my purses and it shows in the craftsmanship...
