For The Record - Versatile album tote bags, bowls, purses, bracelets, coasters, wall clocks and notebooks made from classic vinyl LP records

WASHINGTON, D.C. (ContentDesk) June 21, 2004 -- Eco-Artware.com is demonstrating how to put oldies but goodies to a new use.
For music aficianados, album collectors or retro-minded fashion divas: one of a kind fashion statements made from classic long playing records. These unique tote bags feature velcro-enclosed clear vinyl sides that hold two different authentic record jackets: a Beatles, Rolling Stones, or Bruce Springsteen album cover on one side, and a random rock favorite on the second side (http://www.eco-artware.com/catalog/bags.shtml). Created by designer Meg Musick-Makely, these bags are very cool because of their smooth lines and practicality. When a new look - or musical theme - is desired, the covers can be recycled with others in your collection.

Two amplifier knobs (that actually turn) decorate the sides and the two-inch wide shoulder strap is adjustable.See the Vintage Vinyl Record Bracelet by Meg Musick-Makely (http://www.eco-artware.com/catalog/jewelry.html).
When her pre-teen daughter dropped and cracked a favorite 33-1/3 record, Meg cut out the label to preserve the wonderful associations she had with the record. As she sliced across the surface, she got the idea to transform the label into a bracelet. The rest is record-breaking history, and we're proud to feature these vinyl cuff bracelets featuring various artists.Still not rockin' enough?
One of eco-Artware's most popular items continues to be Jeff Davis' Vinyl Record Bowls - deocrative centerpiece bowls molded from genuine LPs (http://www.eco-artware.com/bowls-baskets.shtml). The labels are sealed with mylar so that nothing falls through the spindle hole and are great for holding non-liquid food items or display pieces.

The bowls can be accented by a set of Vinyl Record Coasters (http://www.eco-artware.com/catalog.eating-drinking.shtml) or the very timely Vinyl Record Clock (http://www.eco-artware.com/catalog.walls-windows.shtml).Everyone from aspiring lylricists to autograph seekers will love our one-of-a-kind Album Cover Notebooks (http://www.eco-artware.com/reading-writing.shtml). Each is designed using authentic vintage LP album covers. And if that alone isn't cool enough, the notebook's paper is made with 100 percent recovered cotton denim, harvested from denim clothing manufacturers in the U.S. (We don't know, however, how mucyh of the denim comes from bell-bottoms).There's no doubt that rock and roll is here to stay-in more ways than one - at Eco-Artware.com.ABOUT ECO-ARTWARE.COM - Eco-artware has something for every budget, for every taste and especially for a friendlier planet. The Coach Purse, the Better Purse

Before getting my first Coach purse a few years ago I would use nothing but cheap bags I found at discount department stores. When I decided to finally splurge on something better it was only because I was going to be at a formal event and needed something that was practical but still looked classy. The Coach purse that I bought was stylish and went well with the dress I was wearing and in the end it all made me look and feel great.
Once I used my Coach purse that night I began looking for other excuses to take it out with me because it got so many compliments. Eventually I began taking it with me everywhere sometimes even dressing up to match the accessory instead of the other way around. Not only was the purse as good as any other in terms of being roomy easy to organize but I found that it outlasted any other handbag I ever owned.

In the past I would replace my handbags all the...

Handbags, Purses and Toolboxes, Oh My!

Never send a man to do a woman's job.
You'd think I would have figured that out by now, but I haven't made my quota of mistakes just yet.Somehow I got it into my head to buy my friend a handbag.
It seemed simple enough.
I've never had a problem buying toolboxes, cabinets or file folders, so how hard would it be to pick up a handbag?"I would like to buy a handbag for a friend, please.""What kind of handbag," the smiling sales lady asked helpfully."Uh...one that carries stuff in it, I suppose.
Is there any other kind?""There are very many kinds," SalesLady enthused.

"There is at least one for every occasion and several for every personality.
What is your friend like?"I tried to think.
Unfortunately, the only thought that wandered into my cerebrum was that maybe I should go across the street to the hardware store and just buy her a sturdy 205-piece socket set on sale for $74.99."Is she a bit wild?" SalesLady probed.

When Is A Cigar Box Not Just A Cigar Box?

(ContentDesk) June 16, 2004 -- It's not often that something plain and, by all cultural definitions, masculine is transformed into a beautiful fashion accessory. But that is the concept behind a new business started in Granada Hills, CA. Lisa Cody, founder and principle designer of The Cigar Box Diva is forging her way into the fashion accessory business. As one might guess by the name, these are no ordinary handbags; they are "cigar box purses", a fashion trend that has caught on in many parts of the country. The idea is simple. Take an empty cigar box and decorate it with fabric, ribbons, beads and photographs. Add decorative hardware like bamboo handles, brass latches and coordinating fabric lining and you've got yourself a handbag. Simple right? Not quite.

"There's a difference between crafting and designing" Cody stresses. "I put much more thought into my purses than many others on the market. Quality craftsmanship is the key. I love creating my purses and it shows in the craftsmanship...

Is your Authentic Designer Handbag really Authentic?

So, you have just bought a new designer handbag.
Maybe you have had your eye on a Christian Dior Saddle Handbag, or
Gucci Jackie-O that you know your friends will drool over .
You got a huge discount off of the hefty
retail price and you're feeling pretty good about yourself.
But know you are wondering- is my designer handbag authentic.Determining the authenticity on any product can be a little tricky, but if you know the basics, you will be able to spot a fake in just a few seconds.
One of the best ways to ensure your new handbag is authentic is to look
at the bag itself.

Designer handbags are popular and cost as much as they due because first and for-most they are made from quality materials.
Take a good look at the stitching.
There should be no loose or missing stitches, the color of the thread should match the main color of the bag and the stitches should be evenly spaced.
If the handbag...
